Tony and the village hall

Created by Anne 2 years ago

It may be that not many people knew what a huge contribution Tony made to the village hall. He was a Trustee for many years with a remit for maintenance but his work went far beyond that. Tony has been an integral part of a small team during the massive refurbishment project. He has personally overseen much of the work, using his valuable expertise and visiting the hall everyday while work was ongoing. I don’t know how we will manage without him. But he leaves behind a beautifully refurbished hall which is a great tribute to him.

He has been a lovely friend and colleague to all of us; everyone said exactly the same, ‘what a lovely man’. So wherever you are, Tony, keep an eye on us!

And I’ll miss our chats through the beech hedge.
